In the beginning
Founded
     The Crusaders Bowling was founded in February of 1980 at Brunswick Cedonia Lanes. The founder and first President was Ronald E. Boyce Sr. known as "Candyman". Candyman wanted to have fun, bowl with a purpose and have meaning when bowling.
     In 1980 to 1981, he and wife, Jeannetta (Kid) recruited people with a positive mental attitude to build a strong foundation for growth. He started with ten (10) members and by January 1981, an additional twenty (20) members were added and our club's colors were black and gray.
     The first club match game was bowled on February 27,1981 at Brunswick Cedonia Lanes. And thus the beginning of our crusade to be one of the best bowling clubs in the State of Maryland.
